Brian Mayes,
Candidate for School Trustee

Brian Mayes believes in creating connections between communities and schools, and has:

• Worked with LRSD, province and parent groups to build play structures at Windsor, Wyatt, Penner, St. George, Minnetonka, HS Paul, Sage Creek;

• Worked to increase pedestrian safety near schools: getting traffic light installed near Varennes, crosswalks near Hastings, traffic calming near Minnetonka;

• Helped fund community kitchens and family room at St. George, Victor Mager, Niakwa;

• Provided annual funding for MAG skating rink;

• Funded Grant to Glenwood School for new team uniforms

• Rebuilt walking path (Hastings);

• Created Mark Dickof Memorial Award along with Manitoba School Boards Association and Canadian Mental Health Association.
